Our Team

Taylor Jackson

Taylor Jackson, our owner, is an ISA Certified Arborist. Obtaining these credentials requires at least 3 years of full-time work experience in an arboricultural related field and successfully passing a 200 question exam covering topics on soil science, tree biology, tree risk assessment, pruning, and more. Furthermore, 3rd Day Tree Service is 1 of 5 companies in McLennan County with an ISA Certified Arborist on staff.  Taylor’s love for trees is evident as he explains here:

“In 2017, I was an avid rock climber when a friend of mine approached me for help with a large Hackberry removal. He explained that the tree was too large to access from the ground and knowing that I had all the gear and a bit of climbing experience he asked if I could help. I fell in love with climbing and working aloft. The rest is history. Through the formation of this company and my growing appreciation for our region’s trees, I try to personify one singular goal every time I show up to a new site with a new tree—to appropriately care for this tree so that future generations can enjoy it as I have.

When you hire us, you’re hiring professionals that have the knowledge and skill to adequately care for and maintain your landscape’s most valuable assets—your trees!”

Zach Gonzalez

Head Groundsman

A lot of the time, Zach, is the liaison to our customers.  He's proficient in technical rope skills, tree service equipment, and customer relations.  Zach is an invaluable member of our company and models our company's mission impeccably.

"I like tree work because of the joy it brings our customers when their job is completed to their satisfaction. Trees are one of our oldest ancestors. They hold history, value, and we do our best to to keep them healthy enough for others to enjoy for generations. Knowing that our work plays a role in making lifelong memories for customers is enough for me. I personally have fond memories of a large Live Oak on my family’s property that I would do anything to preserve."
